The Arts & Humanities Researchers’ Society is a new initiative set up by researchers for researchers.
Schedule of 2012 events:
(Always Tuesdays, 1-2pm in Old Senior Common Room)
How to Get Hired in Academia – 17th January
Alternative Careers to Academia – 21st February
Understanding Postdoctoral Options – 20th March
Public Engagement: What is it and how do I do it? – 24th April
Academic Publishing: Suggestions and Tips – 15th May
We hope the seminar series will offer new ways of thinking about our research and professional development, and provide an opportunity to meet new people across the school.
The aim of the Researcher’s Society is to create an active, supportive and collaborative interdisciplinary community for Arts & Humanities early career researchers.
If you have any suggestions or ideas of what we can provide, or events you would like to see, please let us know. Also, if you would like to get involved in any way, by serving on the committee, or helping out co-ordinating events, get in touch with me via email (laura.speers@kcl.ac.uk).
We hope the society is a useful resource and offers an open forum to discuss Arts & Humanities researcher issues.
