We have made a change to our in-house learning modules on the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Now, underneath the title of each module, there is an estimate of how long it will take you to complete.

This change has come about following a suggestion from a postgraduate student.

We are always eager to receive feedback from PhD and Master’s students, in order to improve the quality of the service that we give.

If you have any suggestions for how the VLE or this bulletin board can be improved, please send them to michael.flavin@kcl.ac.uk .

dsc2849.jpgNothing in your academic career has given you exposure to the big bad world of business. And yet you feel that your future – whether its Pharma, academic publishing, Intellectual Property or the City  may require ‘business awareness.’But what can you do about it? This may be the answer:

Experience Business – the course that builds business awareness: March 18/19 2008

Students taking part in “Experience Business” solve four business case studies over two days in teams led by professional managers. It’s competitive, fun and a great way to practise for real assessment centres and job interviews. Teams from Unilever, Accenture, Sainsbury and PwC will run the case studies – come and learn from them and the other top firms represented at the course what commercial employers look for in their trainees.
